Let's Get Started
Finding the answers to these questions will make the process move along a lot quicker!
1. What type of home do you live in?
Find out if your subfloor is made of concrete or wood.
2. What kind of furniture is in the room,
and what style of decor?
The ambiance your looking for will greatly influence the
choice of species, grade, color and finish.
3. What rooms are you planning to floor?
Make note of any stairways, closets, and any obstacles
that will require special fitting.
4. How many people live in your home?
If you have lots of traffic, young children and pets you will
want a more durable finish. Low gloss finish minimizes the
appearance of scratches.
Choose your color Make sure you select stains that will match different decors so that it will outlast different trends in home fashion.
Choose your species
When choosing your species it's important to come into our warehouse and actually see and feel the different species. Samples are available to take home so that you can match the effect you're looking for. Our most popular species are oak, maple, birch, walnut and beech. We also have the more exotic woods such as brazillian cherry, mahogany and tigerwood.
Choose your grade
The grading system has to do with the different variations in the wood's natural color. The "select & better" grade woods are uniform in color, while the "traditional" grade has a more pronounced natural color variation. This is easy to see when you compare two samples of the same species with different grades.
